RY Guitar/Planning and Sales 2H Tele
owner: Shin
2019.11.6: I bought this guitar when I met with the maker again after it had been on the market for a while and I was curious about it, as well as for a spec consultation I wanted to order.
It originally had a 2-ham escutcheon mount without a pickguard and with the front PU wiring counterbore visible, but I requested and had a pickguard added.
The neck also happened to have been replaced with a maple fretboard of my choice from a rose fretboard at the time I inquired about it, so I felt a connection with this guitar.
The thickness of the neck has also changed considerably from the gallery introduction page.
The neck plate, neck plate, and string guide are made by tatsuta Titanium Parts.
2022.3.1: I had been using this guitar without any complaints, but I was concerned about the gap between the pickguard design and the rear PU escutcheon, and for a change of pace, I had a new pickguard made in matte black 1-ply at the workshop.
I also changed the PU from the stock BKP The Mule set to the same BKP PG Blues set and added a cushioning material for the neck plate.
2023.3: I had always wanted a pure Telecas, so I rebuilt it based on this one.
As I expected, the bridge plate alone could not hide the hum countertops.
The imo screws on the saddle were sticking out a bit and I was concerned, so I replaced all of them with a slightly shorter standard.
2023.10.4: I liked the Telecass version, but I had a couple of situations where I needed to use it, so I decided to change it back to the original 2-ham version and put in a Suhr Thornbucker set.
2024.2: When I used this guitar in a copy-band of Miss Styl, I often arranged the parts of Mr. Sakurai and Mr. Tahara together, so I changed the PU layout to Mr. Sakurai's Blue Flower.
The bridge was also changed to a vintage GOTOH type, which made the rear counterbore even more visible, but the sound is now a very Telecas-specific trebly finish.
2024.3: PUs were replaced with Duncan STL-1 and SH-1N.
