(Sold)AIRCRAFT/AC-5
owner: Shin
2020.5.5: The specifications around the bridge suggest that it is from the early 90s, but it has been treated quite nicely.
At the time of acquisition, one 3-string peg, insert block, bridge spring, and strap pins had been replaced with black, so the entire peg body was replaced with a new GOTOH peg, insert block, 3 springs, and strap pins with the new Schaller locking pins.
The direction of the switch seems to be the same as the switcheroo style type I have, which was originally wired to be turned on by tipping it downwards, although some introductory articles I have seen say that this model was also turned on by turning it up.
I thought it was a Koa top, but when I compared it to other Koa top models, the grain is different, so maybe it's Bubinga or Walnut?
2024.5: It was a very nice one, including the built-ins, but I sold it because I don't pick up oil-finish guitars very often and don't think I will use it in the future.
