Gibson Lespaul Studio 1993
owner: Yo S Hi Hiro Yamauchi
Now I use this guitar for playing at home and for sessions, but from 20 years ago when I bought it until about 8 years ago when I bought Highway 1, I used it as my main guitar. I used it as my main guitar until about 8 years ago when I bought Highway 1.
I played it a lot and left it for a long time, so it's pretty beat up.
I bought it at a local Guitar Center when I went to L.A. for a week in 1993, and it was my first Les Paul.
Not only was this Studio a good introduction to Les Paul, but I continued to use it as my main guitar even after purchasing the Standard and Custom guitars later on. It had a good enough quality sound to be a hard rock guitar, and it was the lightest Les Paul guitar in terms of weight and playability. and the playability that comes from it.

sound features | I had been buying and selling guitars up to that point, but this guitar will be the one I have kept for the longest time in my life. The P.U. has been replaced with a Duncan SH4 (JB) on the rear and a Duncan SH1 on the front. The entire bridge was replaced more than 10 years ago. The sound is good, and the Duncan JB works perfectly, with rich overtones. |
