(Sold)ESP/HORIZON CTM
owner: Shin
2021.9.22: The bridge studs are wood screw type, so it seems to be a model when Sinclair started to change to Floyd Rose.
Both front and rear PUs had been replaced with EMG-81s.
As expected from the rusty condition of the bridge, 5 insert blocks were cracked and 4 of them could not be removed easily.
All the brass plates on the back of the saddle were also missing.
I plan to replace the badly rusted screws and reassemble it with a passive PU, and am currently arranging parts.
The frets are very grooved and worn and need to be rubbed together, so I am going to take my time to fix them.
2021.9.30: I have assembled it for now.
The former owner used it as a drop B to C, so I set it up as a drop B with 11-56 gauge strings.
The bridge saddle screws were replaced with stainless steel, the insert block was replaced with titanium, and cushioning material was added at the recesses.
The PU is a Duncan, a model that has become a standard for down tuning, which I had left over.
Everything except the PU selector has been replaced with a new CTS or similar.
It is playable for now, but I need to do something about the fret area, so I'm waiting for further maintenance.
2023.11: I used it once for a live performance and never used it again, so I sold it.
