2022.1.23: I had a chance to touch other Challenger series at the end of last year, and after learning that there was a model with a less harsh V-shaped neck shape than the first model I touched, I decided to buy something and won the bid.
The bridge is clean and the jack seems to have been replaced with a Switch Craft one in recent years, although the frets are generally worn out.
All three metal knobs are moldy for some reason, and although I cleaned them, the plating is badly peeled off.
The model number is written on the neck pocket of the body, and the E in the model name stands for Ebony fretboard and 90 for price, and the P stands for Panther with leopard print PG?
I guess it would be positioned like our AC-5J with almost the same specs and different neck shape.
I have finished the maintenance on the outside, but the PU seems to be almost broken due to warping of the bobbin from expansion and contraction over time.
The fret rubbing and nut are also expensive, so I'm going to take it to the workshop when I can replace the PU.
2022.2.16: When I worked to replace the PU, I replaced it with a GOTOH PU that I had on hand and bought at a parts store, rather than modify it to put a brand-name PU because the mounting screws are millimeter standard.
The capacitor that came with it was a hum capacitor, so I used an orange drop capacitor with a single capacitance.
2022.2.21: I had the frets scraped and the nut height adjusted at the workshop.
I have no complaints about the tuning stability with the arm.
2022.3.2:I replaced the metal knob with a strat knob because it looks too delicate without the metal knob's plating peeling off.
2023.1:I sold it because there are other similar strats in my collection without any chance to use it.
