Les Paul Custom for Jazz

I was wondering whether I should buy a full acoustic guitar because I wanted to play jazz, so I decided to substitute it with a Les Paul that was lying in the back of the house.
By the way, this is the first guitar I bought.
I got rid of the rear pickup and put flatwound strings on it.
