(Sold)AIRCRAFT - AC5 Masahiro Ando Model
2017.7.5: This item came up for auction as an individual for a reason.
There is a crack near the stud anchor.
It still has the tags and music store manual from that time, and I bought it because I wanted it as a kind of documentation of this switch system.
2017.7.30: We discussed the repair and decided to see if the stud would not fall over with strings and if the crack would not spread easily.
I tuned it in regular tuning with 08-38 strings, which I don't usually use, to reduce the burden a little, and the stud shows no sign of collapsing, so I will try using it this way for a while.
The volume pot has a B500k ohm and the active single is not as it should sound.
Each switch is raised to OFF, and from left to right are Rear, Center, Front, and Rear Direct, with Vol not bypassed when Rear Direct is on.
2019.7: Fret grating and setup with Plek was done at Tune Guitar Maniac.
I still have 08-38 strings on it, but it has a much lower action than before the setup.
I was considering selling it at one point, but I'm glad I kept it.
I think it would be a little better if I changed the gauge, but the bridge saddle sticks out quite a bit on the neck side when I adjust the octave and it's just barely there.
2022.9: I got an early 90's model that is almost Masahiro Ando's model with less color burn than this one, so I sold this one.
It seems to have gone to a guitarist overseas who loves Japan, and I am happy that he is using it.
