MR reissue (maybe)
This is an original Greco MR guitar. I got it on Yahoo! Auctions thinking it was an original MR1000. I thought it was an original MR1000, but when I got it, I found the serial number and the year of manufacture was not correct at all. I took the pickups off and looked at it and found that it was not a U3000 but an unmarked DRY. So I looked it up and found that there was a reissue in the late 90's and this guitar's specs and serial number matched the year. It wasn't the original I wanted, and it looked scratched and rusty, but it was in good condition as a guitar, so I was happy with the result.
The sound of the unbranded DRY --- I think the maple top and ebony fretboard emphasize the treble more than the Mirage with the same DRY on it. I don't think it's a powerful PU and it's not a sticky type, but it has a sound that only DRY can produce.
