(Sold)FERNANDES/BSV-155J

owner: Shin

2021.3.3: I bought this guitar to try my luck because I couldn't find any details about it from the listing information.
There are many low-priced models in circulation, and some of them are custom-made to look like this one with a different EMG and bridge.
SPC circuit, Φ24 CTS pot, Switch
If it is a custom model with SPC circuit, Φ24 CTS pot, Switch, 2 Craft stereo jacks, caramel backed EMG, etc., I think it is definitely a top-of-the-line model.
The instrument was probably found in a warehouse and was missing a few screws when we got it.
One of the missing screws, arm, and insert block was cracked, so I replaced each of them. I also replaced the bridge saddle screws for the built-in connection, and managed to set up the string height balance to a modern level by inserting shims on the neck and cushioning material on the plate.
Apparently, the lock nut screws were also tipped only on the first and second strings when tightened off, so I replaced them with shorter ones, but the center position is off and the nuts are too high for not much fret loss.
There is a lot of extra length in the wiring that needs to be reviewed.
The tremolo spring has to be hung in the shape of a "C" or the spring on the 6th string side will interfere with the counterbore.
The accuracy of the integration is period correct, even for a high-end model.
The discoloration of the body is almost equal to that of the neck, so I was happy to see the one with no apparent discomfort.
The one fine tuner that was missing was fortunately saved by someone selling the standard one at the time.
I will send it to a repair shop from here on because there is a part where the sound is a bit jumpy due to the height of the nut and the waviness of the neck.
2021.9.21: The nut was just barely centered enough to interfere with the strings and the fret stroking shoulder, so I had a major repair work done, including replacing the nut.
We chose a Jescar 57110 size nickel, giving priority to securing more height than the stock.
It is a short scale, but the high position did not feel too narrow.
The fingerboard is originally painted all the way to the side edges, but there are no other guitars like it, and I had it done because I thought it would be a common neck if I stripped it down to the fingerboard layer rather than having it partially stripped and touched up when I replaced it.
The thickness of the fingerboard was quite thin, and the difference in thinness between the maple and the fingerboard was so large that it took a lot of time to paint the fingerboard.
I was suggested to repaint the maple side for better appearance, but considering the unevenness of the paint burn and the time and effort required, I asked them to paint the difference in thickness clear because I was satisfied with the feel even if there was some rattling.
The position marks on the side of the bridge were painted and re-painted with a new type of lettering, so the visibility of the marks may be a little better than before.
I also had the jack battery snap pot replaced with a new one.
2022:Sold due to lack of use.

The SPC is always on at full ten, so even the clean channel of the amp sounds distorted, and the distortion channel has a unique sound with more of a comped feel.
