As you know, this is Dr. Angelo's signature effect pedal. The distortion is basically calm and has little firepower on its own, but when placed in front of the distortion, it boosts the distortion quite nicely. Legato is so smooth that you don't even need a compressor. There is almost no noise or loss of sound.
