(Sold)FERNANDES/APG-85S
owner: Shin
I bought this one at auction on 12.3.2014 because the sustainer-equipped guitar I owned at the time was not good enough.
I've been interested in APG for a while because YOU, Jeanne d'Arc, also has a signature of this type.
I've seen many bolt-on APGs, but I haven't seen many set necks with a sustainer.
When I tried to use it, I found that the neck was warped and the bridge saddle was assembled in the wrong order, so I started the maintenance work right away.
The electrical system looked fine at first glance, and the sustainer was working.
However, I noticed that the harmonics mode on the first string was not very effective, or the sound was not firm enough.
I thought it would be hard to play the high position because of the medium scale, but it was much easier to play than the Les Paul because of the well-drilled body cut.
The rear PU and pegs had been changed by the previous owner.
2014.12.6: One of the resistor knobs for the sustainer adjustment was broken, so I took it in for repair.
2015.1.31: Returned from repair with blue FR.
Readjusted the sustainer and replaced both pots with CTS ones for Duncan.
2019.12.29: I had it for many years but sold it because I got a higher-end model and almost no longer use it.
