(Sold)Washburn/N4 Alder(Made in Japan)
owner: Shin
2021.9.14: I bought this used one when I found a great deal on a used one with no important parts missing or critical external damage.
I would like to have an alder body model by Akira Nakayama someday, but it's hard to find one in the market, so I decided to go with this one with basic specs for now.
The lock nut is not made by Schaller, but by Takeuchi, and the tremolo back panel is not dropped in.
Unfortunately, the 6th string side of the neck was not cut cleanly at the manufacturing stage, and it is so uneven that it looks as if it has been raised up, and there is a lot of fret lift overall, so the high position does not sound properly.
The first string side is almost straight and the fingerboard is thick, while the sixth string side is a bit thin and the nut is high, so it is definitely shaved on the sixth string side.
Also, the L-500 had one of the coils or wires leading to it broken.
I'm going to ask the workshop to re-fret and fix the fingerboard again.
2021.9.17: I replaced it with an L-500XL with logo that I had on hand.
The resistance of the PU that was disconnected was about 5.9k ohms, so I think the stock one is also XL.
I also changed the Vol pot from the stock domestic A500kΩ to CTS B500kΩ and replaced the wiring between the jack and pot.
2021.12.27: I had the frets re-fretted to correct the fretboard.
The rear PU was replaced with a L-500XL without logo taken from another unit to keep the stock look.
2022.6: I decided to use the other alder body and sold this one.
