(Sold)YAMAHA 103P
owner: Shin
Purchased 5.7.2014: I was looking for a cheap strat to replace my Photogeni after failing to repair it myself and found this one without strings and case at a recycle store.
There was an arm that tends to be missing lol.
I did some maintenance and cleaned it up, put a deco sticker on the pickguard like PhotoGeni, and replaced one pickup cover and knobs with black ones.
The body was a bento box.
The model name number means
1→Grade
0→Number of humbucker PUs
3→Number of single coil PUs
The higher the number, the higher the grade.
I wonder if the P stands for Pacifica or what the RGS is?
2015.5.6 Replaced wiring with Belden PU rear and Schaller front with Jackson.
Where changed from stock.
Strap pin ➡ Lock pin
Center PU cover white ➡ black
Knob white/metal ➡ black
PG ➡Deco sticker on it to give it a makeover
PU ➡Rear Schaller/Front Jackson
Wiring material➡Belden
2015.5.31:Replaced the rear PU with the one on the front of TEJ
2015.9.16:Preparing to let go of the Fender Mexico and JAPAN strat as I thought it was ready to go.
PU and strap pins returned to stock, capacitors changed to normal.
The PU cover was discolored, so I painted it with a color sprayer from 100 yen.
Since black was not available, I used chocolate, the closest color to the original, to give it a similar look.
I removed the sticker from the pickguard and got the impression that it was burnt white.
2015.11.28: I gave it away to organize my equipment.
I thought it was a good one for beginners in playing and modding, with its looks, heel-less joint, stable tuning even when using an arm, etc.
