AIRCRAFT/AC-5
owner: Shin
2019.11.15: It appears to be a private or shop-ordered full Ori, signed Yokoyama-san on the neck pocket.
Probably a Haruhata model 3S spec AC-5 with specs quoted.
The PU counterpart is a roomed HSH, but there was no digging where the hum PU foot goes in.
2019.12.18: The shape of the pickguard around the bridge was not quite right with the bridge itself, so I had it corrected along with the green AC7 work.
I thought the rod adjustment could be done from the head on the AC-7, but I think the only difference between the two is the shape of the body, and the rods are from a different production period.
The frets are vintage type, low and fine, and there is a history of rubbing, so it looks beautiful, but the playability and pitch are not so good.
The fretboard has a vintage type low, fine strike and a history of rubbing.
2021.11.29: I had the frets replaced with Jescar 55090-NS.

sound features | The onboard booster seems to be the same as the one on Birlo's Tyler Modoki, but the lack of an on/off switch and the Wilkinson-type bridge combine to give it a unique sparkling sound. |
